On May 9, the state of alarm in Spain ends, and land trips to the Costa Blanca are again possible. According to Puig, the Valencia region will then be reopened for travel for the first time since the end of October, so free travel to and from the neighboring regions without a valid reason is again possible.
According to the requirements of the state government, the following regulations will apply from Monday, May 10, 2021:
The region around the Costa Blanca, which has had the best corona case numbers in Spain and even in almost all of Europe for weeks, is initially maintaining the nightly curfew. However, it will decrease from Sunday, May 9th, from midnight to 6 a.m.
The gastronomy can now open again until 11.30 p.m. A maximum of ten people are allowed to sit at a table in the restaurant or on its terrace.
The mask requirement remains unchanged. Also on the beach and relaxation areas by pools.
Dance events and typical night bar events remain prohibited.
Meetings in the private area - both in the house and in the garden - are allowed with 10 people from two independent households.
Smoking on restaurant terraces is prohibited; Smoking outside is only permitted if there is a two meter distance to another person.
